Garlic Pickle: The Umami Bomb (180g)

Bold, Aromatic, and Unapologetic
Our Garlic Pickle is a celebration of the "Achaar" tradition. We’ve taken plump garlic cloves (comprising over 50% of the jar) and tempered them in a vibrant blend of aromatic spices and vegetable oil. This isn't just garlic in vinegar; it’s a deeply layered, savoury preserve with a complex balance of heat, earthiness, and a touch of sweetness.

The Craft of the Temper
The secret to this pickle lies in the spice blend. We use Nigella, Mustard, Fenugreek, and Fennel seeds to create a textured, fragrant base. The addition of Asafoetida provides that essential savoury "funk," while Jaggery—a traditional unrefined sugar—adds a mellow, caramel-like depth that rounds out the sharp hit of Cider Vinegar and Chilli Powder.

Founder’s Note
"This is a pickle for the true garlic lover. We wanted to move away from the standard vinegar-soaked cloves and create something inspired by traditional Indian pickling. By using jaggery and tempering the spices in oil, the garlic loses its raw 'burn' and takes on a rich, savoury sweetness. It’s punchy, aromatic, and arguably the most versatile jar in our kitchen."
